This class is designed to give you an understanding of the ministry gifts that
Jesus Christ and God the Father have set in the church for the building up of
the body. We will study each gift and present a clear definition of each one.
We will discuss the calling of God to the ministry and how to answer the call.
We will share how to develop in the gifting and calling of God and what God
requires of His ministers in order to reach their full potential.
1. PROVISION FOR HIS CHURCH. In this lesson we will see the ministries and
offices that Jesus and the Father God have set in the church. We will also look
at the purpose of these gifts and study how they can make a difference in the
building up of the church.
2. CALLING AND EQUIPPING. We will study from the scriptures that there is a
divine call in order to stand in one of these offices. This is not the work of
man, but a calling and placing by Jesus Christ, the Head of the church. We will
clearly see who He calls, He equips and we will also study the purpose of these
gifts.
3. THE OFFICE OF THE APOSTLE. In this lesson we will define the gift and office
of the Apostle. We will see different levels of Apostleship and see how this
gift is a functioning gift today designed to bless and strengthen the Body of
Christ.
4. THE OFFICE OF THE PROPHET. A very powerful gift that Jesus has set in the
body. We will look at this gift in operation through different personalities
from the Bible and see how this gift should be a functioning part of the church
today.
5. THE OFFICE OF THE EVANGELIST. We only have one example in the Bible of this
gift, but it is a very important one in fulfilling the great commission. Each
of us is encouraged to flow in the work of the evangelist.
6. THE OFFICE OF THE PASTOR. A truly wonderful gift that is very important to a
strong local body. We will look at a scriptural definition of this gift and
study the purpose of this gift to the church.
7. THE OFFICE OF THE TEACHER. As we study this gift and look at different
personalities who were teachers in the church, we will see how important this
gift is to the building up of the church.
8. VARIETY OF MINISTRY GIFTS. We need each one of the gifts mentioned in the New
Testament. Balancing these gifts are very important to a strong, balanced body.
Variety opens the church to the fullness of the ministry of Jesus Christ.
9. FAITHFUL TO THE CALL. In this study we will look at God’s requirements for
His ministers. If we want to fulfill the call that God has placed on our lives,
we must develop the fruit of faithfulness and develop Godly character in our
lives.
10. DEVELOPING IN THE GIFTS. We can and need to grow in the anointing that is
upon us to fulfill our office. We will look at things that will enhance our
ministry and prepare us to be a vessel unto honor.
