This class is designed to prepare you for counseling a couple who desire to
marry or couples who are already married. You will receive a great deal of
detail and information that you can use as you begin to counsel someone. Not
only will this class help you to help others improve their relationships, but
also you will be able to apply these principles in your own life.
1. Premarriage. In this lesson, we will learn what
to expect from our partner and ourselves. We will also learn how important it
is to take a look at ourselves and to determine what our expectations are for
everything in our lives including where and how we expect to live and how we
expect things to be done.
2. Considering Marriage. In this lesson, we will discover why we even consider
getting married and take a look at some things that may hinder us from making a
wise decision about marriage and check out some red flag areas that we should
be on the look out for when making that decision.
3. Marriage. This lesson shows you what marriage should be, what makes it work
and how your choices contribute to the quality of your relationship. You will
also learn about the “In Love” experience.
4. Love, The Confounded Language. In this lesson, we will discuss the Five Love
Languages and discover how to fill our spouse’s love tank and keep it full. We
will also touch on how important it is to learn and speak our children’s love
language to them as early as possible.
5. Divorce & Remarriage. This lesson is designed to give guidance and help
to those who have chosen divorce or remarriage. It should help to remove the
sting of guilt, self doubt and perhaps low self-esteem that usually goes along
with this type of situation. You will learn what God thinks about divorce and
remarriage.

assignment will be given for each week. These are to be completed and handed
